about

Teaming up with former Annunakis Crew member Scooba, the two managed to collaborate on a tracked called “So Far”. The Annunakis was a rap crew that Faycc was involved in when she was about 14 years old and it was made up of four males around ages 20. Scooba produced their beats and was seen less often because he held a job at a restaurant.

Fifteen years later Scooba found Faycc on FaceBook and sent her a track with his chorus. Faycc immediately vibed with the track and wrote to it. She added elements to Scooba’s original beat and arranged the vocal recordings to their patten.

“Collabing is not always easy. I don’t even know if Scooba likes the final production on my end,” states Faycc. Scooba was in the process of an uncertain pregnancy in which he was confirmed the father. After that time Faycc and Scooba lost their connection.

As a firm believer in releasing musical creations regardless of perfection, Faycc recorded a video and mixed it down for her official release of “So Far”. She released this statement on the subject: “Perfection is an illusion. You have to do the best you can do within your present circumstances and be okay with that.”

Although the story of this track is not based on a relationship between Scooba and Faycc, it is based on two separate stories can can make sense together. During Faycc’s interview about “So Far”, she informed, “When I first listened to what Scooba sent me, I was listening for what he was really saying. From there, I made up a story in my own head and based it off of my past experiences.”

With support on the track from her connection GP Productionz in California, she knew the song should come out. GP informed Faycc that he likes to “roll one up” to the track and that was inspiring for her. You can find “So Far” on most music platforms— so give it a search!

lyrics

Just sit and watch the time as it goes by
Sit-in’ by myself, you prolly know why
I’m my worst enemy
So far, so far, so far
Just sit and watch the time as it goes by
Sit-in’ by myself, you prolly know why
I’m my worst enemy
So far, so far, so far

Never hate me when I’m around
Listen to you and make no sound
You love it when I put it down
I’d do anything for you
Why
Have you put this on the…
Line
Ay-ay, Ay-ay, no

If I don’t really feel it
What chu gon’ do
You don’t know exactly
What cha boy is gon’ do…
I’ll be waitin’ for the better days
Not waitin’ for them yesterdays
I waited for them yesterday

You can’t prepare for the truth
It’s all about love
It’s all about trust
It’s all about love
So far

I don’t want you sit-in’ as the time flys
Know um ya right hand
By your side
Sit-in’ by yourself and I know why
Want you to come clean like a gold mine
We all make mistakes
But the told time
And time tells
You mean well
Some situations are straight spells
But I still got your back

Never been the time to right my wrongs
Never been the type to bite the dust

I’ll be
By your side
Regardless
Of your
Mistakes
